Within a day of diving into Foundation Blender Compositing by Roger Wickes, I've already learned a few simple things I though were super complicated and mysterious. Fun. And might as well make the test animation into something artistic while I'm at it.

@00:04Thanks. I was so surprised how easy it was to do. I put off learning it for the longest time because it seemed like something too complicated. It's as simple as using the defocus node for you in the Node Editor, with Do Composite turned on in the Render buttons. Also in the camera options you can adjust where the point of interest is. I just found it the the channel for it in the IPO editor and keyed it's position. OK, now it is start to sound complex, but it's not.
